The tides cover the causeway twice a day every other week. As a general rule, the tides are only up in the mornings. The afternoons between 2 and 5 pm are always clear. Tidal forecasts are only an estimated time of tide coverage and are affected by wind, air pressure and systems out in the Atlantic. See tides
