Samba Bangor Community Music was formed in 1995 to promote the spirit of carnival and its associated arts in North Wales .  They perform percussion based music at carnivals, public events and private venues.  Our inspiration comes from the songs, rhythms and culture of Brazil and the Latin world, from reggae and calypso, bhangra and funk, any music with dance at its heart.  As well as our regular rehearsals, they have organized and run workshops in drumming, dance, capoeira, & carnival crafts for group members, schools, youth clubs, community groups and the general public.
