Common Enquries

Can I book for camping?

Yes you can via our website only. We do not take any bookings over the phone. If we go full on bookings there will be no allocation on arrival for that day. It is advised during busy times ie bank holidays and during summer holidays to pre book online.

How do you tell when you are full?

When we go full, we go full on numbers of people, NOT Space. Friends/Family turning up after we have gone full will not get on. E.g A cinema has 400 seats for 400 people, not 400 seated and 200 sat in the aisles.

No credits will be given for early departure/late.  Credit notes may be issued at the discression of the management. Credit notes arent issued automatically, they must be requested prior to departure. These can not be issued after you have departed.

What happens if we arrive a day late or with less people for our booking?

Unfortunetly unless you have phoned to advise us of this at least 48 hours before then we can not give any credit for this.

Tide times vary from day to day, you can find them out on this website under "tide times", select which month and then check the relevant date, or alternatively give Shell Island a ring and we will be able to help you.

We do accept dogs. There are certain fields where dogs are not allowed. These are sign posted at the entrances to the fields. We also ask that you keep them on a lead at all times and clean up after them. Doggie bags are available at the gate house.

Due to a change in Government legislation, the XL Bully breed is now on the dangerous dog list, this mean as under our terms and conditions we do not accept any dogs which are on the dangerous dog list. This means, if your dog is an XL Bully you will not be able to bring them on holiday with you even if licensed. This rule applies to XL Bully assistance dogs.
