Day Visits to Shell Island

Love the idea of Shell Island but not planning to camp? You’re still very welcome to visit for the day!

Enjoy breathtaking coastal views, sandy beaches, and plenty of space to relax and explore — all without staying overnight.

Day Visit Times

We’re open for day visitors from 8:00am to 8:00pm
(If the site is full entry may be denied or close at 1:00pm when the site is full — tide dependent).

Once admitted, you can stay and enjoy the Island until 8:00pm.

Tip: Always check tide times before travelling, and call ahead to confirm day visitor availability.

2026 Day Visit Season

March 26th to October 5th, 2026

Please note:
If the campsite is full, day visits will be suspended for health and safety reasons.
We recommend calling us in advance to check availability.

Day Visitor Charges

Seasonal Passes

If you plan to visit regularly, a Seasonal Day Pass is available for £80.00, valid from March 26th to October 5th, 2026.
Please note: Seasonal passes do not include entry to special events.

Restrictions

To help keep Shell Island safe and enjoyable for everyone:

• No caravans, jet skis, quad bikes, or motorised scooters are allowed.

• Boat owners must present valid insurance and county registration.

• Day visitors are not permitted to use showers or Elsan disposal points.
